Gardening Day at St Faith's 2009

Improvements to the front of the church meant doing away with the front garden, bordered by a wall. On Saturday 25th April 2009, a group from the congregation, plus a few of the St Faith's Scouts set-to on very hard hard soil (after a week with no rain) and moved the plants to the back border, which another group dug over in preparation.

The lawn edge was straightened, completing the transformation. Transplanted clumps of various species were well watered.

The area at the front of the church will now be paved and we are having two brick benches built to create a community area with, in due course, a community noticeboard.
