|St Faith's Window and Restoration Appeal 2009|
Faith’s church has helped to serve the needs of the local
community for over 110 years. It is available for everyone in times of
celebration, in times of joy and of course sadness. These include not
just baptisms, weddings and funeral services but also the use of the
facilities for social events.
To extend the use of the Church building to you as part of our community, we desperately need to refurbish and update the side rooms. This will help to provide a much better venue for local clubs, groups and individual activities and help to make it much more available to the local community.
We need to raise £10,000 which will include redecoration and double glazed windows. The only way we can do this is by fundraising activities and sponsorship. We really need your help and warmly invite you to help to support the life and mission of your church in any way you can.
As can be seen below, the window frames are in urgent need of replacement.
There is an opportunity to sponsor a window or pane of glass and other fundraising activities or you could just give a donation. It really does not matter how much since it all helps. Those who are taxpayers are invited to fill in a Gift Aid form, which means that the church benefits additionally from a 28% tax rebate.
The thermometer on this page shows that so far the appeal has raised £8,200. This is a tremendous effort, but there is still a little way to go if we are to reach our target of £10,000.
Please do whatever you can to help keep the church available to everyone.
