St Faith's Church, Hitchin: Bible Society Flower Festival

The Flower Festival Weekend for the Bible Society was held on 21st and 22nd June at St Faith's Church.

This was an outstanding happy event as people from every church in Hitchin chatted over a cup of tea and admired the beautiful and imaginative displays. There was an enthusiastic sermon by Simon Fould, the Regional Representative for Bible Society at the Sunday morning service.

The climax was Songs of Praise on Sunday evening; with joyful heartfelt singing, including ‘For the beauty of the earth’ in John Rutter’s setting, sung by the choir.

Financially, we raised £650, for over 200 Bibles for Ethiopia and Ghana.
