St Faith's at the Walsworth Festival - May 2010
Walsworth Festival = Hot! Hot! Hot!

What a difference a year makes! Last year we were all drenched at the Walsworth Festival. However on 23rd May this year we had to cope with a mini heat wave. Thankfully we had taken the gazebos to the Common and were able to seek shade from the sun during the day. A garden parasol and golf umbrellas were also put to good use.

We all enjoyed the fellowship and fundraising both on the Common and at St. Faith’s. The stalls on the Common selling toys, books, china and jewellery, sewing and knitting plus the skittle alley, toy emporium and cream teas and cake stall back at St Faith’s raised much needed funds for the running of the church.  A big thanks for those who worked so hard to achieve this wonderful result.

Yet again it was wonderful for St. Faith’s to be such a visible presence on the Common and for the Church to be used for singing, music, dancing and art displays from Purwell School and Sunday School. In addition, the beautiful flower arrangements created by several ladies on Saturday morning raised money for Christian Aid. We were also featured in an article on the Festival in ‘The Comet.’
